There is no fourth grade musical for the 2021-2022 school year.
The musical will be performed by all fourth grade students and will include singing and dialogue. The students will be working on the songs during music class along with other music standards. Participation in the musical both during music class and at both performances will be reflected on their report card grade. The grade will count towards their performance standards grade for music.
The theme of the musical focuses on the importance of remaining drug free and the power of making positive choices based on a strong, personal and moral code. There's nothing like the positive power of MUSIC to help kids gain the courage to stand up in front of their peers and say NO to drugs and alcohol and YES to a life that's drug-free! FOREVER FREE coordinates with our red ribbon drug education week during the month of October, reinforcing the concepts of self-esteem, communication, drug awareness and decision-making. We want our students take a stand in our school and community to live a life that's FOREVER FREE!
The song titles include “Forever Free,” “Feelin’ Good,” “Lucky to be Me,” “Talk it Out,” “Do I Dare,” and “Drug Free Me.” The musical will also feature student dialogue between the songs.
The musical will also be performed on the morning of Friday, October 25th for the school.
I look forward to seeing you as your child shares their musical talent.
